This typeface was part of a project where we created typefaces inspired by a place that means something to us. Randyland, an open-air art museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the place that inspires Eccentric. Specifically, it is inspired by the tall yellow brick building that houses the backyard garden area where the “museum” is located. Eccentric is a high contrast, sans serif typeface that boasts extremely low crossbars and relatively high x-heights.
